Heavy investment in ski facilities, a lively summer season and a wonderfully warm and welcoming family atmosphere have enabled Morzine to take it’s place as centre of the Portes du Soleil. Its authentic Savoyard feel has been successfully attracting visitors to the area for years.

Morzine is famed for its summer season, when some of the best cycling opportunities in the world are on offer. Downhill mountain bikers enjoy the variety of technical and challenging runs, whilst cross country mountain bikers are well catered for by the extensive network of lifts (24 lifts serve 380km of market itineraries!). Meanwhile, road bikers are able to emulate the Tour de France by tackling famous Alpine runs like the Col de Joux Plane. It’s not just cyclists though, with a fantastic range of walking and climbing opportunities and a host of other activities for the more adrenalin fuelled tourist from paragliding to rafting to the quite frightening prospect of mountain boarding.
